Fitness services provider Fathom CrossFit has joined the tenant roster at Mercado del Barrio, the mixed-use residential and retail development in San Diego’s Barrio Logan neighborhood.
I have had the pleasure of bringing Lyft ( the Pink mustache)to San Diego. It was a rewarding experience to work with Lyft and according to Woody Hartman, the Director of Launch, “ We found a perfect space that has helped us grow and thrive in San Diego.” We look forward to seeing Lyft grow both on a National and International level.
I believe it is no secret that San Diego is home to one of corporate America’s greatest Servant Leaders, Garry Ridge with WD-40. Yesterday I was fortunate enough to listen to Mr. Ridge speak on leadership to San Diego’s CEO Roundtable. I was kind of hoping for a quick fail-safe tip, however, Mr. Ridge was honest. Leadership is everyday, loads of work, and not about you. The best quote of the evening, “Micro-management isn’t scalable.” He told the group of San Diego CEO’s and decision makers, leadership is about respect, value doing the right thing, and building relationships.

We all, from time to time, take things for granted; it’s just human nature. One gift I enjoy is being able to breathe in fresh air; for me, there is nothing better than having the ability to fill my lungs to capacity. Millions of children and adults are not so fortunate. Here are a few facts I have learned from the ALA as to why breathing clean and healthy air are so important:
No one can forget where they were on 9-11-01.
Let’s take a moment to remember the lives lost, the families affected, and the way the world has changed. We are greateful for our families and opportunities to make the world a better place.
“Start With Why” by Simon Sinek, this is a must-read for anyone in sales.
“The Little Red Book of Wisdom” by Mark DeMoss is an excellent collection of real life advice. I am constantly handing these out to friends, family, and people I meet on the plane. A combination of biblical, real life, and practical wisdom, this is a must have addition to any library.
I have the pleasure of knowing Bill Driscoll as a friend and colleague. His expertise in sales is only surpased by his service for our country. His new book takes his practical experience as a TOPGUN pilot and applies it to sales.
As a board member for CCIM I have the priveledge of promoting great events and learning opportunities.
