McKinney Advisory Group was approached to assist with the sale of two of the last coastal multi-family parcels along the 56 corridor in San Diego. McKinney’s Senior Corporate Real Estate Advisor, Peter Quinn, who has a rich background in a land development, put together a team of experts to best position the asset for maximum sale value.
Each of the adjoining parcels was located in the coastal overlay zone and entitled primarily for condominium use. Further, the parcels required to adjacent property owner’s permission for fire safety access. These restrictions can often deter potential buyers and provided a challenge in marketing the property to qualified buyers.
Using its creativity and the resources of partners with the right leverage, McKinney coordinated a joint listing with JLL and prepared a detailed sale package. McKinney and JLL helped to give exposure to a wide national market. The McKinney team orchestrated the entire process through multiple offers, personal interviews, and facilitating a successful escrow. The buyer closed the transaction with the help of negotiations by McKinney with the neighbor to solve the fire safety access. Through customized solutions and personalized attention to detail the land was successfully sold.
